Hotel broker error

Everything was good except the check in. My reservation, which was paid in advance, was held up because the broker had their card denied. It appears that the hotel was caught in the middle. The sweet desk clerk did her very best in a highly stressful situation. It was worked out and I got to finally get to bed.

Went to front desk to check in and the worker was super unpleasant. Finally got to the room and the non smoking room reeked like smoke. Went next door for dinner and came back hour later and room smelled like pot. Overall room was disgusting. We left right away and went to different hotel.

No Shower and White Power

The shower did not work. Dogs chased me. People walking around with funds on their hips. Felt uncomfortable and did a Google search to find out that that land is replete white supremacist militia groups. I checked out the second day after one night only. and was still charged for a 5 night stay. Craziest experience ever. Never Again.

Photos in hotels.com do not match the room we were given. The room was in poor condition as shown in attached photos. We reserved a non smoking room but the room reeked of smoke. Front desk said they were sold out and we could not change to another room despite the lack of cars in the parking lot (?) Mattress, bedding and towels smelled of smoke. Room made us ill.

Has not been updated in 30yrs. Non smoking room smelled like smoke because it has t been painted in 30yrs. Water stains on the roof and visible stains on the box spring on the sides. Too afraid to check the mattress. Bed was also the most uncomfortable thing I've ever slept on. If my choice is sleeping in my car or staying here again I will be sleeping in the car.

It was clean, heating system was working good. The lady at the front was very nice and helpful. Perhaps the only two negative things could be the noise of the vehicles driving at high speed at night (not the hotel's fault) and the shower was kind of small for me. But in all, we were pleased with our visit.
