My partner and I were quite excited to stay at this property as the reviews looked good, with many commenting on the breakfast. The breakfast definitely didn't disappoint with fresh pastries, bread, ham and cheese, and cakes. Our room was very modern, with a comfortable bed, and had clearly been renovated recently.
The owner of the property was incredibly kind and warm and runs the whole property by himself. This sadly was the main issue for our stay. We called ahead in the morning to let him know that we'd be arriving around 6.30pm. Around 6.30pm, we arrived but couldn't locate the parking (no clear signs), but managed to get into contact with the owner after about 5-10 minutes. We were then told our room wasn't ready yet but would be soon so we said we'd happily wait in the dining room (he provided us with cakes and coffee). However, 1 hour passed without any contact and then we were told our room was finally ready, but it wasn't in the B&B but rather in another building 2 minutes down the road.
We hoped our experience was just a bad day for the owner as he truly was really lovely and friendly. However, during our stay, it seemed that he was constantly too busy to attend to all his customers. All in all, good breakfast, comfortable room, but more staff needed to support the running of the property.
