The Britannia is a glorious building, full of majestic character and charm. The room was very comfortable and a very good size.

Great location for affordable hotel

Excellent location and very affordable. The curtains don’t fully cover the whole window so let a bit of sunlight in and the doors are designed that guests slam them shut so that wakes you up but you definitely get a great stay in central Manchester for a good price

Ideal location, value for money

Hotel lobby is beautiful, bright, airy clean. Rooms are basic, comfortable, clean. Spring mattress, was ok, few aches in morning. Location is great, 10 min walk from train station, Arndale shopping centre 5 mins away. Didnt hear much noise at night. TV, tea facilities, room has a fan, much needed. Overall good stay, did what we needed to do
Rebecca, 1-night trip

Good value

This was once a grand hotel which still retains its charms but repackaged as a budget Inn. Handy location, can walk everywhere. Priced right
Kim, 4-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

This was a single room for one person, it was very clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful when I asked for advice. I particularly liked night time security at the hotel. As a single women I did feel safe. So all truly appreciated thank you.

More for your money else were

It is well passed needing urgent TLC. For the money there are nicer hotels in the area which I wish I would have stayed at. Felt dirty walking away.

Good value for a centre stay

Hotel was OK for a nights stay. Very hot with one small fan for a triple room. Basic in features and uncomfortable bed but not so bad you couldn't sleep. Fridge would be a great addition. But good for the price. The breakfast was OK for a cheap city centre hotel. Some decent coffee would be good. However at the price it met my expectations, only mentioning these points so customers are aware

Hotel was perfectly fine for the location, the price and the local amenities.

All you need, in the right place!

Fantastic central location in a very grand looking building. If we're being picky the room did look a bit tired (slightly peeling wallpaper/ceiling finish/lots of regrouted tiles i the bathroom etc) BUT everything was clean, everything worked, the staff were pleasant, the bed was comfy enough for a night's sleep and the check-in and check out process was simple. Not the Ritz, but more than adequate for a night or two and at a fantastic price.
David, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

The check-in experience was terrible. Arrived with four friends who got their rooms straight away, while we had to wait another 40 minutes despite people in front of us getting their rooms too. Staff didn’t really have a clue what they were doing unfortunately. The actual cleanliness of the room was fine.
Nathan, 1-night trip

Well done

Hotel is very old but is well kept and clean for the money. Well worth the stay and very central
Dafydd, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

The hotel is old but served the purpose. Great for a cheap option for a night

Hotel Rooms need updating

The room looked out of date considering it was classed as an executive room. The room had a number of issues which was a smell of Urine, the shower was nice and powerful but this caused the shower curtain to keep moving and sticking to me whilst showering and also caused the floor to flood

Would stay here again

Good location, quite a grand building. Love the staircase, comfortable room.
