Location, location, location

Location mattered to me on this trip because I was carrying heavy bags so it made sense that once the train let us off at the Bergen station, the hotel was only a few steps away outside the street. It was a rainy day as well (and Bergen is known for rain) and therefore the ability for me and my friend to just walk across the street with our heavy bags was a great choice for us. The hotel is also within walking distance to the harbor where you can take your traditional fjord cruise. Second important thing: the breakfast buffet is great and there was no point in booking a hotel that didn't offer a breakfast buffet. Dining out in Bergen is expensive, you might as well factor in one important perk, the morning buffet. The room itself was a bit small for two people and the beds were barely cots, not the most comfortable I've ever stayed in, but having said that, we didn't spend much time inside the room. And the gym is a small but workable one as well. So location and buffet won out and did well for us in this case.

Very impressed. Older style location loved the decor. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was a junior suite very spacious, clean and comfortable. Meal in restaurant, enjoyed the baked salmon and dessert warm apple cake. Great location just near the train terminus and walking distance to shopping.

After long trip of Norway in the nutshell from Oslo to Bergen. It was so tired and when we reached Bergen train station, it was raining. The most amazing thing happened that the hotel is just beside the train station, less than a minute walk. The next amazing thing followed that the lovely staff upgraded my room to a brand new family suite. I totally enjoy my two nights stay here.

The room was spacious and the bathroom was very nicely done with decorative tile. Overall the hotel has a historic charm. For a hotel this size, would have been nice to have more spaces to lounge other than the dining rooms. We found one little area to hang out with friends and hotel staff was nice to bring extra chairs for us. They provided umbrellas for all of us which was a big plus as it rained quite a bit while we visited. Reception was very friendly. Parking in nearby garage was okay

Innsjekk gikk veldig bra, god hjelp fra resepsjonen. Fikk oppgradert rom som var en positiv start på oppholdet. Frokosten var veldig bra, masse å velge blant og raskt påfyll når noe gikk tomt. Selve rommet var også veldig fint, god seng. Det eneste jeg skulle ønske var et godt og fungerende klimaanlegg, det var veldig varmt når vi var i Bergen, 30 grader og full sol, men ingen ac på rommet. Det ble alt for varmt inne på rommet, og det var vanskelig å sovne. Men ellers, et veldig bra opphold.

Trevligt hotell

Fint hotell, bra beläget i Bergen. Tillmötesgående och trevlig personal. Hade bokat sviten men eftersom solen låg på och det var extremt varmt erbjöds vi två connecting rooms i annat väderstreck. Detta passade familjen bättre. Rymligare! Fortfarande väldigt varmt dock, ingen AC men fläktar som fick jobba hela natten.
