To be clear, we love the area, and we stay here every July. The convenience is incredible. With the private beach, and in the middle of the boardwalk/pier area, we honestly wouldn't stay anywhere else.
With that said, it's overpriced, food is less than meh, the spa services are outrageous so I don't partake (and I'm a spa person!). Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa is less expensive, lol. But you don't have to partake in any of that to stay here, so that's what makes it worth it.
The area: so many food choices. You can get something good for cheap or expensive. I don't eat large quantities, but I'm still a foodie. The "fast food" is fun... lobster rolls, Asian fusion tacos, pancakes for dinner... there's everything. Finer fare can be found beachfront. Everything within walking distance.
The beach has its own area for guests and chairs and umbrellas are gratis. Tip the kids working there. They make the experience even more enjoyable.
We looooove walking the boardwalk, and then when it ends we walk around the residential area and dream that someday we can own one of them suckers, lol.
Get a bagel widdashmeah at Call Your Bubbi. Given the area, you really need to. Like, really really.
The room: Bed was too squishy, but maybe you like that kind of thing. It's generally very clean. The TV was the death of me because it was dim. But if you don't care, then whatevs, amiright?
The beach is so clean. The surf is so fun. It ain't cheap, but the location is key, so it's worth it.
