The hotel has been beautifully renovated. The staff are incredible helpful and friendly. The food was wonderful. Breakfasts included anything you could want and dinners were lovely. This is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in and right on the edge of the forest with wonderful wildlife, walk and cycle paths.

Great hotel in a lovely location, well maintained with beautiful grounds. The room was nicely appointed, quiet with a comfortable bed for an uninterrupted nights sleep. Superb room for us as a family of four. Our toddler girls loved having their own little room, which was joined to ours via a small lounge area. Comfy beds, and a really tasty breakie. I'm recommending the hotel (and room, specifically), to all our friends visiting the New Forest or Peppa Pig world.

We had an amazing stay for our anniversary, couldn’t fault anything it was great! The food incredible, we had two breakfasts and two dinners it was that good! The staff were super friendly and couldn’t do enough for us and the room was lovely, we had a great view of the gardens! The location plus all of the above we felt was great value for money and we are already missing our stay in the New Forest! Would definitely recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay. The bar staff were excellent, really know their cocktails and gins. Had a delicious afternoon tea with gin tasting. All absolutely beautiful. Hotel is very comfortable and location great. Room was spacious although just a classic.

The setting, the service and the food are simply world class. The decor is decent but the building is very old which adds to the quaintness but takes away from the functionality at times. But not to spoil an overall brilliant experience as the staff couldn’t be better and you won’t find a better roast dinner in the UK it is outstanding quality of the highest order. The setting which IMO should be a world heritage site is other worldly with beautiful horses donkey and deer roaming wild and at peace with man. Everyone should visit the new forest and why not the forest park hotel for an authentic experience.
