On the bright side, the air conditioning worked great, and wasn't terribly noisy. Given the 100-degree days we had, that was a must. Also, staff on site was helpful, friendly, and available 24 hrs as advertised. And the price was fantastic.
Otherwise, the experience was not so good. The floor of the room was filthy, like it hadn't been cleaned in months; we had to wear shoes after taking a shower, or our feet would turn black from filth. The dresser had a drawer broken off. The toilet struggled to flush, and made horrible noises when flushed. The chain for the door was missing. We had to ask for hand soap. The beds were hard as rocks. There was no "Do Not Disturb" indicator for the staff for when we wanted to be avoided. The in-room coffee was terrible. The pool was out of service (not advertised), which was one of the main reasons we booked in the first place.
You don't expect much from this class of hotel, but you should, at a minimum, have a functional and clean room.
