Nice hotel in downtown, but needs improvements.

The location was perfect. Very walkable and in close proximity to downtown. The hotel seemed to be in stages of renovations with older and newer sections. Most of the hotel was super nice, but our room was a bit older and the AC wasn’t working correctly. It would either be freezing or super humid (on a non-hot or humid day). Plus the AC unit was really noisy and clicked loudly when it would turn on and off. It was a bit expensive for the experience we had, but still a nice stay.

Perfect for move in week & exploring Ithaca.

Wonderful staff, spacious rooms: especially the bathroom. All recently remodeled ( we were in the north tower). Walk to everything. Free parking and quick drive to all colleges. Only feedback is that the aircon was very loud. But I still slept well. Maybe provide glasses and cups instead of disposables and more moisturizer. There was only a small sachet for a room of 3 people.

Room Condition

The room floor was sticky and there was an odor in the room. It seems that it was cleaned, however, the product used, was not adecuate for the hotel room. The shower had an empty shampoo container...we had been at this hotel numerous times, and lately it seems that the rooms had issues...I am not sure if the hotel is under new management.....we never had issues in the past....

We enjoyed the hotel’s comfy beds and bedding. Room was very clean, hot water for tea and coffee in lobby was nice. Service was excellent. We were looking forward to enjoying the pool but it was closed for renovation. It was an important factor in choosing the hotel so it was disappointing that there was no warning about the planned renovation in the listing and the only reason that there isn’t 5 stars for each category. It would have been better if there was an alternative pool offered but none was available.
