I have stayed at Monterey Plaza a number of times and each time is more memorable than the last. Beautiful, good vibes, clean, gorgeous views and smells exactly like the Ritz, which is one of my all time favorite hotel scents. If you’re looking for a weekend getaway in Monterey the Plaza is the place to stay.

Beautiful Hotel

Absolutely stunning hotel with so many unique details. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the dining options were wonderful. I also loved the location- close enough to walk to the aquarium but also away from a lot of the touristy activity. We can’t wait to return!

After searching hotels in Monterey for 3 days I finally decided on Monterey plaza hotel and spa. This trip was for 3 adults, 1 baby for just one night stay but I wanted to make sure we were in a good location and the views were perfect. I was so happy with everything this hotel had to offer and the customer service was 10/10. Carson was the best, he made me feel so welcomed. The valet staff was excellent; I didn’t get any names but every single person working the valet was great. We were able to walk to cannery row/the aquarium and leave our car with valet even after checkout until we were ready to head home.

Super slow service… waited and hour and a half to get our connecting door unlocked. Lot’s of nickel and diming (Forced Valet, forced bellman use) $37 for a glass of bad wine in the lobby. Generally dismissive staff. Beautiful location though.

Wonderful hotel experience.

We had a partial ocean view room it was lovely. We also had massages at the Vista Spa . The Spa was very clean and peaceful . My Swedish massage was just ok, very little pressure and 60 minutes into it I was annoyed and bored of the lack of pressure. I guess I’ll review the Spa next.
