The staff were woundevrful. But the stay was awful. Because on arrival half the drapery and rod were on the bed. No washcloths, trash cans, or kleenex provided in room. The vending machines did not work. TV didnt work. Bucket for ice provided howerver they had removed their ice machine. Owners had dog tied outside that barked ALOT. And the walls between the rooms werer very thin. Noise from other roomseemed like they were in our room with us. Only redeeming quality was the staff

Great rate for a last minute, one night stay, in Monterey. Bed was clean as was the rest of the room. Unfortunately, the bath tub wasn't cleaned as thoroughly as the rest of the room. Other than that, it was a good value for short notice on a weekend.

The room was old and not cleaned well. Definitely a low star hotel. HOWEVER, the staff was VERY nice/friendly and it is located less than a block from the fairgrounds which is what we were there to visit.

The room itself was dirty. The room smelled like cigarettes and there were cigarette holes everywhere (including the sheets). Stains on every towel, even after getting new ones. Bedsheets were stained too. I gave it 2 stars because I was shocked there were no bed bugs.
