Great location/needs to be remodeled

Hotel is in a great location for attending the FFCC championships so we stay every year, but hotel needs to be remodeled, it's old. Has a starbucks which is great and staff is good but they need to remodel it during off season.

Great view but needs updating

We chose to upgrade our room to ocean view on arrival. The sofa in our room was very worn and in need of repair, the bed wasn’t comfortable. The view was very good and the room was clean. The pool area was very nice and the waitstaff were very good. The on site restaurant Don Rico’s food was good but the staff were exceptional! The valet and bell service was excellent.

Every person we dealt with was wonderful! The steak restaurant was amazing! The hotel was quite clean and modern. We stayed in an older section of the hotel that could definitely use updating.

Nice hotel, good weekend getaway

Facilities were very nice, staff were all very friendly. Nicely located directly on the boardwalk with many fantastic restaurants in close proximity and within the resort. However, the elevators were slow and the lines would get quite long. The showers are also only good for people that are under 5 foot 3(see attached image)

Would stay again. Staff and location were great. Pool was huge and clean. Hotel is a little dated. Picture of our room showed a couch but there wasn't one. If you opt to include breakfast, make sure you know details not to get double charged. Parking (not valet) tried to double charge us also.

What to do?

Having the pool bar close at 6pm and also food options from ending early were inconvenient. It would be good to have activities for the guests. The last night we were there apparently there was a band but we knew nothing about it. No information about things to do in the area in the room which could have been helpful.

Even though the weather was not the warmest, we enjoyed our stay due to the activities in the hotel (pools), and outside of the hotel (volleyball area, bike ride, beach, boardwalk and the water park across the street. There was always something to do. Also, if you want to catch a Mavericks game in Orlando, the ride was only an hour.

Okay hotel for the location and convenience

Hotel was okay, the rooms were clean however outdated and the bedding provided was very worn. No fitted sheets were used on the bed, which didn’t seem very cleanly and came off so easily. The bathtub was very stained and rusted, carpet was definitely very old and left our feet looking dirty. The hotel lobby itself is extremely nice and all the restaurants were a big plus. The pool is very small compared to the pictures and for a hotel of this size. The front desk, valet, housekeeping and servers all provided good attentive service. Overall for the price and location we had a good stay but it wasn’t anything spectacular.
