10/10 Exceptional

It was good being my first visit to Atlanta
Anthony, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

It was my first time coming to Atlanta, and the Barclay staff made us feel at home. Especially Chasta and Keisha

The hotel is older, so you get what you pay for. The service was excellent. Thanks.

Everything was great. The front desk staff were amazing!

Location, location, location, and certainly price

The staff was incredible very commentating and helpful especially Shay Great bakery, listen to blocks away short blocks to the Ferris wheel and centennial park, other few blocks to Coca-Cola and the convention center

Work trip

Staff was very kind and helpful, but the hotel is old and outdated. Elevator seemed kinda scary and unsafe. Area was easy for work commute to convention center.

Room refund

I was hoping to receive a refund of 1 night since I had to leave on an emergency a day early. Hotels.com said ok as long as the property said ok. The desk staff informed me that it shouldn’t be an issue but i still haven’t heard back from anyone yet….i guess I shouldn’t expect it but would be grateful if they would do it.

Recommended. Great location/staff

Amazing service with zero attitude. Yes the carpet and hotel is older but the maintenance and staff try to make sure you have a 100% great stay. The location is great near both event arenas. You can always take the Marta. No real issues honestly. Parking is across the street but they validate and reduce the price through the hotel.
Casey, 1-night trip

Get that loan

An investment is needed into every single room. The furniture is old and makes everything smelly. At least the staff was friendly

A 2 star hotel with higher service

I like the location and the price point is very good. The rooms are dated and would normally rate the hotel a 2. Not in a bad sense, just based on room quality. But I gave it a much higher rating. The staff, specifically Keisha was very helpful. Everyone was so helpful. The breakfast was ok. Biscuit and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles and toast. I do wish they had orange juice or something other than water. Last day the gravy almost ran out, so needed replacing. I also with they had instant oatmeal or something. The Marta is a bout 7 minute walk. It has dining around it and is close to Georgia World Congress, aquarium and World of Coca Cola.
Kip, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

Not enough drink options.

The only suggestion I have is that I believe they should have drink options beside milk and coffee for the breakfast. Apple juices or orange juices for kids. Or even just bottles of water.
2-night trip

8/10 Very good

The hotel is pretty run down. The elevators definitely need updating. The stairs do not provide an exit. The ice machine only works on two floors. The water comes out brown. But the staff is very nice! The bed is clean and comfy. And it’s reasonably priced for the area

Good basic hotel in heart of Atlanta

The front desk help was fantastic. The piano in the lobby was a nice touch as my companion plays piano and enjoyed it. The elevator was a little bit scary and may need some maintenance soon, but it was quick!! The room was adequate... I had a hard time controlling the heat/air, we were surprised there was no refrigerator, and there was some trash behind the bathroom door. The location is fantastic, and for the price I am not really complaining - except for the breakfast - it was NOT good, sorry... The parking situation is a bit strange, but workable.

Keep it up

Barclay continues to improve. My room was clean and comfortable and all the fixtures worked. It is an older hotel and still needs refurbishing but they continue to do so. The front desk woman was personable and professional

Do Not Stay Here

This place is all but a Motel 6. We had no hot water, no housekeeping services, bad/old smells throughout the hallway and rooms, and many questionable interactions. The location was good for what we needed, but that was about all that it had going for itself.

Could be worse….

It’s not the four seasons that’s for sure. It’s def a no frills place, but the price is right comparatively and the location is right downtown, so there’s that. If you’re looking for a cheapo place to rest your head. It’s not awful.

Not what I expected

Came to hotel and was greeted upon entry. Front desk was helpful and polite. Got my key and went upstairs to my room. Upon entry it was warm, (the AC wasn’t on, and once turned on, wasn’t blowing cold air) the room was dark and the when looking out the window the fence below it was topped with barbed wire and a shirt was over the section near my window. I opened the nightstand drawer to find 2 dead bugs. General feel was not what I was looking for. I grabbed my things, told the front desk I was leaving. They didn’t ask for an explanation which I think is weird. Booked myself another room at the Westin at 11:30 pm rather than spend the night
John, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Run down, but in a neighborhood close to things. They're actively renovating it, so I expect it'll be much nicer in teh future
2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Quite, but under construction. No microwave or fridge in rooms. No blankets either. Its like staying at a friends house, so bring your own stuff

please beware, no price is worth this

You could not pay me enough to ever stay at this hotel again. I thought a lot prior to leaving this review because I understand that there are just bad days/moments for people/places, and also because the lady at the front desk was so nice and she was equally as angry at the circumstances, but I do not want anyone else to walk into what we walked into at 2am after a 10 hours drive. The first room was dirty, still trash in there, pillows and a dirty towel on the bed, cup of water in the bathroom, etc. I let the front desk know, she came to take pictures, apologized, and moved us to a different room. The 2nd room was also dirty. Hair all over the beds, in the toilet, in the shower, something weird on the window. At this point it is 3:30am and we need to wake up at 6 so I laid on top of the blankets and didn't use any of the pillows. Did not sleep at all, didn't shower, checked out at 7am and found a last minute hotel to spend the next night in.

Cold stay in January

The building was under construction which i had no problem with, but two out of my three days there I did not have hot water. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. The owners need to pay more attention to the details that make it nice/comfortable stay versus curb appeal.
