Busy time with lots of festivals on but the hotel managed, the common lounge area and outside area was a nice retreat from from the busy reception bar / food area.

8/10 Very good

It was good stuff are friendly and services is good. But the bed is really uncomfortable. Also It says king size bed but 2 people it’s small. Room was clean. Location is good. If you came solo or got 2 separate bed highly recommended.

Denis, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

The hotel is due for a remodel, and is showing its age, but don't let that discourage you. The staff were great, and were always friendly, warm and welcoming. The room we had was fairly spacious and clean. The morning buffet didn't serve any surprises, but the food was decent, affordable and filled us up. Would stay again.
Chris, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

Ok stay

Food buffet was good but a bit disorganised. Bed is ok, room spacious. Clean. Hotel is very dated from outside but not as bad inside. Stay was fine really. Location is lovely and quiet and a 15min walk to haymarket
Amy, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

First room did not have double bed which we specified. No bother we were given a different room with double bed. Much better room with a nice view as well. Staff accommodating and friendly. Did not use WiFi or dining room as we wanted to look around Edinburgh in the two days we had. Great location and will be booking again when we get the chance. Loads to see!

6/10 Good

Does the job ,but no frills

This is a basic hotel, clean and tidy. OK for a couple of nights. No food options other than breakfast which we didn't have so can't comment on that. The room was spacious and clean but no frills, ie no towel rails, toilet roll holder or wardrobe. Beds were very comfy however. This place is a bit out of the way but in a nice area about 15mins walk to the tram stop to get into the centre.
