The building is definitely older and gave more of a college dormitory vibe. During check-in, I felt uncomfortable with the front desk staff, particularly Arvain, who asked odd and intrusive questions about my partner. I was glad I had an extra lock for my room door—safety is so important these days, especially with growing concerns around human trafficking. I later spoke with other guests who had the same uneasy feeling about Arvain, which confirmed that my instincts were probably right.
On a positive note, the suite was a decent size and overall, I did enjoy my stay. However, someone pulled the fire alarm when there was no emergency, which felt like a prank. Also, the mattress wasn’t very comfortable—something I usually don’t experience at IHG properties.
