Unsafe Area but Fine Place

I booked this place so I could walk to downtown. However, there were tons of homeless people and others doing drugs right next to the driveway and on the road, thus the whole point of going here was ruined. Should’ve done my homework.

Not recommended for a family

The pool opened after 10 am with a checkout of 11, so it didn’t give much time for the kids to swim. Hot tub was green and the pool area seemed pretty dirty. They provided 3 towels for 5 people in the room, and when we asked more more towels for the pool they only gave 3 more. The beds are terribly uncomfortable and the pillows are awful. Other than that the kids did enjoy the pool for the short time in the morning and it was a place to lay our heads close to the beach and Boardwalk.

Hotel room was not at all like pictures. This place is very bare bones and overall dirty and not well outfitted for even a 1 night stay. The walls were dirty, the beds had sheets that didn't cover the mattress - the mattress was bare for 1/4 of it. The bedspread (only blanket) had no covering and the bottom sheet also was not large enough for the queen bed. Stay some where else if you can.

A decent plaace to stay

The bed was very comfortable, and the room was spacious and there was a nice kitchen, but no dishes, cups etc. You have to bring your own stuff. I thought thre price wasn't too bad for a friday night. Plenty of parking and a decent location. Santa Cruz is an awesome place to visit. The downtown is great. Motel was noisy at night from children running and screaming (families) and I couldn't tell if there were people living upstairs or horses.

Nice rooms, hot tub and pool was awesome. The staff was helpful and kind. Walking distance to the santa cruz boardwalk. Reasonable prices. This is where we choose to stay every time we come to Santa cruz now !! We have stayed at least 6 times now in the last 8 months.
