The hotel is comfortable, quiet, safe and affordable. It is about a 20 min walk or short drive to the American River Parkway and a short drive to anything in the downtown area. The hotel is dated, but clean and in great condition.

This was my second time staying at the Governors Inn Hotel. The staff was very friendly. The check-in/check-out process was efficient. I like how the rooms are larger than expected. Wish the beds were more comfortable. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

The area is a bit sketchy- a few homeless people on the street. The door to the room wasn’t closing unless I used force to push it in. Free parking was a treat.

Reasonable option in Sacramento

It was roomy, comfortable, and staff were nice. But housekeeping never showed up when I left the “please clean room” sign on the door. Breakfast was okay but limited- no eggs of any kind. Parking is easy, and it’s close to the freeway but was quiet.

The hotel was fine except a little lacking in Breakfast choices. I had said in my checkin review that the area was a little sketchy and was questioned on it this morning when we checked out. When the McDonalds closes their lobby at 7:30 and the drive through cashier is in a locked cage, the area is sketchy!
