Really nice hotel just on the edge of central Gijon. Everything easily walkable. Rooms to a very high standard (if somewhat moodily lit, but that is the style) and junior suite was particualrly good value and well appointed. Breakfast high quality continental with deicious fresh juices. Very nice bar with super comfy seats, great chilled atmosphere and reasonably priced drinks. Friendly, helpful staff. Loved it. Would stay again.

An excellent hotel, close to the water and great bars and restaurants. The desk staff was great and very helpful. The woman at breakfast was less wonderful - unengaged in her job and not very helpful. A minor point but not a great ending to a wonderful stay.

Nice modern hotel in a great location and within easy walking to all parts of the city There is safe undercover parking a block away . We were welcomed by friendly and informative reception staff and they were very good in informing us of the various attractions. The room was very clean and spacious with a very large and comfortable bed and lovely bathroom . Will stay again if in the area

Rainy day stay.

First, the staff was great!! The hotel was very clean, good walking location. It appeared that the Hotel had recently been remodeled and did look modern as the name implies. Breakfast was fine, no hot items but adequate. Great shower and very comfortable bed. Parking is a short block away for $14.95/day. It was raining when we were there so did not get to see some of the more interesting parts of the city.

A lovely, elegant hotel on the edge of the main old city in Gijon – it was perfect for our one-night visit. Reception was very warm and welcoming, helping us find somewhere to park the car before checkin (very close, a 3min walk), and calling a taxi to take us to dinner. There is no fridge in the room, but we were able to have room service bring an ice bucket, promptly. The room itself is super quiet, comfortable and (as expected) modern – we had plenty of space to relax and rest, and slept very comfortably. I’d stay here again if we find ourselves back in Gijon!

The hotel was in nice condition but no basic amenities as needed in any nice hotel. No bath tissue in either bathroom, only 1 small water bottle, and lights were so few in a suite with walls painted dark gray or black. Worst problem is that room was hot, thermostat set to heat and no ability on thermostat to set to cool. Also, poor quality bed mattress and very poor quality pillows. Hotel room are for a good nights sleep and wasn’t possible in a hot room with poor bedding.
