BIG TEXAN HAS ALWAYS BEEN A GREAT PLACE TO STAY. THE STAFF ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL AND IF YOU DECIDE YOU WANT SOMETHING TO EAT, THE FOOD AND SERVICE IN THE RESTAURANT IS FANTASTIC.

Initially it was our intention to visit the Steakhouse for dinner and on booking that realised you could stay as well. We were on a Route 66 road trip and it was an ideal stopover both for food and accommodation.

I’d passed the Big Texan several times and even stopped in the gift shop a few years ago but never stayed in the hotel. The price was very fair, the self check-in and check-out made things super easy, and the room was very comfortable. They also allow dogs and have a little fenced in dog area in the parking lot. I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m passing thru Amarillo!
