"We had an amazing time here, everyone was SO friendly. The onsen was lovely and the rooms had everything we needed.
The staff were really lovely and took time to show us the best bits about town, they made sure we saw the fireflies and the mechanical clock, plus great places to eat.
Friendly not flashy."

"Overall not a bad stay, i got the open air bath room. Certain fixtures in the room were very worn and could use repairing. The bath on the patio was the highlight but it had a large leak from below causing the water to drain out faster than it could fill it. Breakfast was great and they had tatami tables. Overall not bad for the money but could be better"

"It's a traditional Japanese house with different rooms available to be chosen. The room is equipped with a lot of items including pajamas, bathing suits, different types of towels, different types of snacks and drinks available for free, and even hair curler. The bathroom has a wooden bathtub which is very nice and offers the experience of a private onsen. The bed is extremely comfortable.
The only downside seems to be the windows. They use the traditional Japanese divider to block the sunlight...

"Get to and from the resort was challenging as we were not driving so I wish the hotel communicated more clearly that we should take the shuttle bus and the specific timings. It could have been helpful also to ensure we understood this at the point when we checked in. "

"Every detail you'd expect from nice and relaxing stay is at this hotel. Staff was absolutely helpful. Purchase with breakfast option is recommended. The hotel is located in between JR Himeji station and Himeji Castle, which was perfect for us to enjoy the area. Strongly recommended!"
"Hotel east wing is slightly dated but still a really nice hotel. Onsen superb, best we have had in many hotels. 3 baths, 3 tubs, sauna, mist room and cold plunge pool. 9am closure for maintenance could be moved to 11am so guests could use it before going out. Good location and courtesy bus to and from Himeji station great, if you spot it... maybe mention it in ads? Room spotless, amenities first class, we enjoyed our stay."
"Very nice hotel, close to the train station. Quiet in the rooms. The afternoon/night parking attendant very helpful giving suggestion sightseeing in the area. The beds were a little hard for me. Walking distance from Himeji castle. Other than that, the location was easy access to everything."
"It's a super clean hotel, really gorgeous interior. The staff is so polite and so very helpful! They made sure the Takyubin would take our luggage to Kyoto on time for the next day, was so helpful to us! They were great! It's a shame the room and bathroom are so small, but it's a Japanese hotel, so that's how it is in this kind of hotel. Good price for what you get. "
"It was quite at night, clean, and the staff were very nice.
Only 2 down sides I saw were that there was no safe in the room I stayed in and that the shower randomly got hot."
"The staff are very nice. I dont really speak Japanese and they dont really speak english but they tried very hard got the message through. I look forward to staying again if i come back to Himeji.😀"

"Toyoko inn is always a great stay. Rooms are clean and comfy. Convenient location, friendly staff, good breakfast included. It’s always been a good stay at their many locations. Great value for money
Highly recommend"
