"Overall we had a lovely stay at the hearthstone inn Dartmouth. Our room was very clean and beds were comfortable. Location was great! Close to many amenities and quiet neighbourhood. Only downside we had with this hotel was it said (free breakfast) on the website but when we got there they said they only offered breakfast on weekends. "

We booked in advance through Hotels.com to ensure the availability of a king bed and felt that this was a slight as essentially our reservation was given to someone else."

"The room was very quiet. Liked the hydration station we prefer to refill our own water. Friendly and knowledgable staff. There are plentiful restaurants and all shopping in very short driving distance.
Easy distance to Halifax and Downtown Dartmouth. We are a couple, but kids and families seemed happy. "

The breakfast was delicious and made especially for us to fit our dietary needs. We had some trouble with the shower, tub and motorized blinds but it wasn't a huge deal. "

"Our stay was fabulous. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, helpful and happy. Rooms were a good size (two adults + two kids), clean and the beds were comfortable. We faced Grafton St and did not hear any street noise. For dining, we had the breakfast buffet, food and drink service from the bar on the patio and room service. Everything was great. Hotel was a very short walk to the waterfront which was convenient. Our kids loved the pool. The pool deck can be very hot though.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone I know and would stay here for our next trip to Halifax! "

"This was my second time visiting this hotel after a great experience the first time in 2022. The rooms are clean with comfy beds. The staff are fabulous. The restaurant is lovely -- with a couple of vegetarian options on the menu. It's amazing that this hotel has access to the shoreline of Chocolate Lake, and I love having the option to sit outside and enjoy the water. "
"Bed was extremely comfortable, the facilities available including the pool and gym were nice. Breakfast was disappointing because the quality was not consistent however the service during breakfast as far as the staff making sure things were clean and stations were replenished was great. Front desk staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean and came with a nice view of the city. Location was great for dining and close to many attractions. Very walkable. I did contact guest services to schedule a cleaning service during my stay however when I returned to my room that evening, it hadn't been cleaned or serviced. It looked like nobody had come by for turnover service even though I called and scheduled for it. I did not end up requesting a service again because my stay was coming to an end. I did however request some amenities which were delivered to my room promptly. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to anyone visiting. "
