"Daniele, the owner, is a perfect Italian gentleman. He was very helpful and informative during our short stay at his beautiful villa. He reserved us a great spot at Sottovento restaurant in Lierna for dinner. It was a few minutes walk away. The common sitting areas are very comfortable and spacious. And breakfast was perfect with fresh fruit, croissant and fresh jams. Don’t hesitate to stay here. Great experience. One caution - if you drive only small to medium sized cars can get up the small driveway to the property. However, it’s only 50m from the main road so not a problem if you need to park and walk in to property. "

"Great stay, the hotel and Rita, the host and all the staff are amazing! Fantastic views, a bit different from your regular hotels but that is a plus! Has a hot tub and pool as well as included breakfast (which is really good and it’s great to not have to worry about breakfast). It’s a bit outside of Varenna, it’s up in the hills, so you will need a Taxi every time to get back up to the hotel, there was a free night bus that took us to the hotel, but I believe it’s only running until October 2025. Going down to Varenna, you do need a Taxi or if you have a bike or rented car, be careful with the curves and the other Italian drivers lol. You can also do a walk down that takes about 20-25 minutes, but it is very rocky path down. Overall, great stay and room and would recommend."

The interior decor and rooms are even more stunning and immaculate than shown in the online advertisements. Situated in a charming village, the hotel is close to delicious Italian restaurants that are both affordable and delightful. After enjoying our first night, we decided to extend our stay for an additional night. I highly recommend this hotel!"

"This really was a most magical place to visit, the peace and calm of the area was just what I needed after hectic working weeks! I wish I had stayed longer to enjoy more of the spa, the village is hard to get to, and very small but the hotel makes up for that. The night we stayed there was a lightning storm and the hotel came to collect us from the local pizza restaurant which was so kind! A lovely places with lovely staff, cannot recommend highly enough! We chose to eat in the restaurant one night due to it's vista, the food was great but the service was average (slow & mixed up the orders) which was a surprise. "
