"Difficult to find a hotel. No easy access to contact the reservation staff. Also the spa, only open from 11 AM to 11 PM. If you’re late getting in, and you have to check out by 10:30 am, there’s no time to use the spa, which is one of the reason why I booked with this hotel."

The owners are very pleasant and the hotel is an old villa set in its own grounds and very close to the center. Our room was big with high ceilings- all part of the charm of the place. If you want to explore this area stay here as its better than Rapallo with its overpriced hotels and no parking"

The GM, didn’t catch his name, was very kind and helpful as well. Now the food. The food was wonderful. We had lunch and dinner; both were five star quality. However, the breakfast was sensational. "We drove in from the Genoa airport and needed to make sure the hotel offered parking. The staff was incredibly helpful, accommodating, and communicative. It was easy to find and even though we arrived before check in they had space that allowed us to freshen up and store our luggage so that we could keep to our schedule as we were in town only for one night and had a lot to squeeze in. The room was HUGE! We traveled with our 2 teenage children so we chose the 2 bedroom 1 bath room and it was perfect. The hotel is a short 15-20 min walk to the Rapallo train station where you can easily purchase an on/off pass for the family to visit Cinque Terre. Breakfast was delicious with so much variety and the ambiance was beyond lovely. I would highly recommend Hotel Canali and will visit again should we ever find ourselves back in that region. "

Only criticism was the lack of a shuttle service to the centre of town which, given the position of the hotel on top of a hill, the high cost of local taxis and the high temperatures, made it difficult for older customers or those with mobility difficulties."
