"Very nice hotel, quite a remote location - no buses pass here so bear that in mind. Didn't dine in, so can't comment on that, bar area was okay, looks nice, beer selection quite poor though. Nice terrace area overlooking the lake, lot of building work, diggers and general mess spoilt this view a bit though. Spa area was lovely, decent sized

"This is the third time we have stayed at the Lakes Hotel and Spa, on this occasion it was our first year anniversary and they really made a big deal of it. We went to the cocktail terrace, which had some really delicious cocktails (personally would recommend the lake’s tiramisu), and then we had a relaxing couple of hours in the stunning spa, which has great facilities. Finally, the private hot tub on the balcony makes the trip special, and is one of the main reasons we have gone back."

"Stayed 4 nights with our dog. Lovely pet friendly hotel. However, we were charged £45 on check out for our pet. No mention of this when booking, or on arrival, which was a shock. Hotel staff were friendly.

(Real treat ) We had a four poster room which was lovely and a good size but a little noisey from the road .The beds and pillows were to hard for us but this is our preference so might suit a lot of people. All in all a wonderful stay and enjoyed the

However, they desperately need poo bag bins! It’s a great hotel for dogs and there were no restrictions, however there were no bins at all to put the poo bags which was very annoying. But apart from that no issues.
