"Great 3 night stay at the Keelman. Check in nice and easy, staff friendly and very helpful. Room was good, big enough for us, and had all we needed, bed comfortable, shower really good, clean and tidy. (Maybe could do with a fridge) the surroundings were very nice, a short walk to the Riverside park. Bar and restaurant were lovely, and nice outside sitting area. Food and beers excellent, especially the Prince Bishop, would definitely stay here again"

"Matfen Hall really is outstanding, my stay was faultless.
All staff were so warm, welcoming and helpful- I was greeted upon arrival with a welcome drink and my bags were taken up to my room whilst I checked in and relaxed in the Great Hall.
Every nook and cranny of this hotel is gorgeous, beautifully crafted and fabulously furnished, including the room I was allocated. It was a generous size bedroom and dressing area with a huge bathroom, stunning views and light and airy in the daytime but warm...

"Lovely pub/hotel. Very friendly. We didn't opt for breakfast, just by our choice. Only problem is the regulars told us there is no where around to grab food other than order"

"Greeted with massive pile of mattresses in the car park (not the best welcoming view - apparently awaiting council collection). Couldn't access the building to get to reception (have to be buzzed in). Looks like an old Premier Inn that's been run down and a few new signs up. Room was nice and big but run down. Poor state of furniture."

"A great stop over. Really pleased the lady on reception gave us a patio room so we could park the motorbikes right outside the room.
Breakfast was lovely and all the staff were friendly and helpful. "

"The taxi and Uber pick up are out front and that was convenient. Upper floor was warm. Stay on lower floors. But fancy and regal and old fashioned. You can walk out the back door to the train station literally. Way Handy!"
"Hotel was lovely, staff were so helpful and nice. Breakfast was very nice. Pool was great! They allowed children till later. Family friendly. My child said 10/10 "
