, hotel located a few minutes walk from the beach. We had a spacious room with an en-suite bathroom which had a large walk in shower. Tea/coffee making facilities were available in the room. The breakfast was extra but was well worth it with plenty to choose from, including a full English, porridge, cereal, toast, fruit, yoghurt, juices and tea or coffee. "This was very much a last minute decision. Booked expecting a 3pm check in. We were in the area early and asked if we could check in early - staff accommodated us. Tom was lovely and clean. Staff were kind, friendly and made us feel at home. We were so impressed we had dinner - great local food and a great range of drinks in the bar. Bar was frequented by regulars who were friendly and keen to point out their favourite menu choices.

friendly. Everyone of the staff delivered a high standard of customer service. Food is excellent. We stayed in a standard sized room which was very clean and comfortable. I will return but next time I will go for a larger room as I found the standard sized room bathroom a bit small for my large size frame ( I’m over six feet tall. ). "

We also ate there on the evening & food was really good, all home made & a cheesecake to die for. We were doing a charity walk nearby at Buttermere on the Sat so it was perfectly positioned for us. Thanks again."
