"Before I write this review it's all about perspective... I wanted to stay in Saint Malo but it's fair to say this is not in Saint Malo centre. It's on more of an industrial estate / shopping centre around 30 minutes by bus from the Saint Malo Train Station (Gare) or the Port with access to the Citadel. (This is reflective in the cost based on the location) I have rated this hotel average as it's a little dated and needs a refresh.

Buffet was adequate and pretty normal for an IBIS...

sufficient, they kept it stocked. Our room was not the best. Poor lighting, the shower was broken so we had to tie up the shower head to keep it in place. Very, very small en-suite with a shower curtain that kept wrapping round your body. Beds firm, pillows were lumpy and the pillow cases had small black marks on them (fortunately I always take my own pillow case with me as a fresh cover)....

. Very nice restaurant next door, Le 1 de La Place. Parking at the nearby Hotel de Ville park is expensive for 24 hours but overnight 21:00 to 8:00 is OK at 4 Euro. Jean Monnet parking is free, about 8 mins walk from hotel."
