"Elke and Wout are lovely. They are generous, kind, and sensitive hosts. Their home is beautiful. You will be treated to big breakfasts served on lovely China with delicious homemade bread, eggs from their own chickens, homemade jams, locally made cheeses and various meats. Dinner is also fantastic and Wout does a perfect blue steak, wonderful fish dishes and his frites are fantastic! The Dining Room has a wonderful aspect. "Outstanding country property in triangle between Flanders, Wallonia and France. Pristine property with unique detailing hosted by attentive hosts. Sumptuous European breakfasts amid panoramic views. Rooms modern with the best of sleeping arrangements including soaking tub and walk-in showers. No detail too small to be attended too. We absolutely loved our stay and you will too!"

"De Brakelhoen is THE most luxurious hotel experience we have had in Europe! The linens, bed, and other finishes were luxurious beyond those in larger 5-star hotels. Breakfast included award-winning breads and croissants (yes, better than Parisian croissants) among other local delicacies. The surrounding views and garden make the setting most peaceful, perfect for an exciting weekend of world-class bicycle racing across the Belgium countryside. An exquisite meal (@ Meat 44) and quaint local...

"The place was clean and tidy in a convenient location.
But the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything what is happening in the other rooms. Even when with bathroom is in between the next room wall and your room and the door is closed. "

"Welcoming, helpful & friendly staff. Breakfast was good and dining room clean. However, the room was very small, dirty with cobwebs and loads of mosquitos. We would not stay here again."

"Lovely staff, very helpful. Parking available at small charge. Small rooms however clean. Available meals are plus side, only minus is it's at spiral access road that is not marked too clear."
"Property was good great location but something i was never experienced in other hotels in other countries was to pay for parking.
I think you cross the line "
"Great check-in experience, friendly and helpful staff, clean room, great restaurant and rooftop. The only issue we had was being charged extra 47 euros when we were told they were not busy and could checkout at 2pm at no charge.
Highly recommend otherwise. "
"A beautiful hotel in the heart of Ghent. We visited for the weekend and we were not disappointed. Ghent festival was on during our visit, which was an added bonus…. We will definitely be back. Beautiful city, fantastic hotel; clean, with large refurbed rooms. convenient location with wonderful staff. "
"Fantastic apartment /hotel. Really clean and spacious. Great facilities in the room. Very quiet inside. Breakfast quality really is outstanding and I’m no foodie usually. Parking is a bit tight for some of the ‘garage’ spaces (I have a v90) but thankfully I managed to grab on of the alternative spaces in the car park shortly after arriving. Aalst is such a nice and relaxing place with Tower Hotel being a 2 minute walk to the shopping precinct and lots of restaurants and bars. "
"Clean and looks newly furbished. Hotel staff good in english and easy to communicate with. The car park is a bit pricy at 20 euros per night but it s convenient and secure so we went for it anyway. We stayed during Ghent festival and there s performances around the city - this hotel is just 20 min walk from the happenings and is not disturbed by the noise. Would recommend."
"Perfect hotel near train station. Easy in and out for one night stay. I gave the condition of facilities a 3 star because the hallways are extremely narrow and could potentially be a fire hazard. Would not be allowed in USA. We were on first floor and felt safe enough but not sure about higher floors. "
"The hotel was clean and quiet, with a clean and spacious bathroom and in a great location. The breakfast was awesome, totally worth it! The hotel is privately owned so it was great to support this local business! "
"cleanest hostel i’ve ever stayed in! Staff was friendly and inviting! The rooms were great, everyone was friendly. The view of the city from our room was amazing! Would definitely stay again "
"A one night stopover, absolutely perfect for what we needed. Travelling with dogs, the hotel was very accommodating. Underground car park with plenty of space. "
"Great access if arriving by car. Lots of parking
Very clean and spacious room.
Sunken floor bath in room was lovely.
Reception were helpful with getting into city centre.
Tram stop was literally opposite
Very well priced would highly recommend "
