"A good location for us, we know the area from previous visits. We wanted somewhere close to Competa but El Dorado had a the added bonus of a pool!!! Marek and Derek have thought of everything, the room was spacious with good shower facilities and wardrobe space. We were not expecting the offer to have lunch and dinner, as we travel around quite a lot we did not take up this extra offer. However, the breakfast provided was extensive and sets you up for the day! There is the option to use the ‘honesty bar’ which is a lovely touch! I took advantage of having a facial during my stay which was exceptional! The products were good quality. The villa is a short drive to Competa and about 25mins back down to Algorobbo. You can take the road down to Torrox Costa which is a little more narrow. It was a great addition to our holiday spent travelling around the area and we would love to stay here again! "

"Highly recommend. Gorgeous, central location overlooking the main Plaza and church tower. Incredible service - Maurice went above and beyond, meeting me at the town border to guide me through town to the parking spot, carrying my suitcase to and from my room, and providing me excellent advice on dining and sights. I also loved the rooftop gourmet breakfast and well-stocked honor bar. Such a thoughtful place to stay."

"Vréneli, Ruud, Estrella and Estela couldn’t have been better hosts. This is a fabulous space to relax in mountains of Andalusia, after an hour or so driving from Málaga airport. We hired a car from the airport and were glad to have chosen an automatic with a little more power than the average entry level rental car. The drive is fairly straightforward from Málaga Airport. By all accounts there are some amazing hikes, although the purpose of our trip was to switch off and relax as much as possible, and we had no intention of doing anything active. It’s tough to beat a delightful breakfast, freshly prepared and beautifully presented by Estela or Estrella, either looking towards La Maroma (the highest peak of the Sierra de Tejeda) or, from the other side of the table, down the valley to the Mediterranean Sea. Made better still with quality coffee, (and Cava’s always an option). Both Estrella and Estela were very patient with our extremely rudimentary Spanish conversations and have great local knowledge. Estrella very kindly made dinner reservations for us each night at different restaurants around Cómpeta, a short drive away. Our favourites were El Cortico Paco and for accommodating dietary requirements, the staff at El Pámpano were particularly helpful. We have already recommended Málaga Hills to friends and colleagues since returning home."

"Fabulous little find right in the centre of Nerja! Gorgeous boutique hotel, very clean and secure. Lovely apartment with terrace. Access to rooftop bar & jacuzzi area....absoloutely loved it! Would 100% recommend and we will definitely be booking again!"

However: The pictures show a beach but this is not part of the hotel and need to pay for beach chair and umbrella Restaurants in the area are average and limited options for nice dining No touristic attractions nearby Uber is only transportation and very expensive Most tourist attractions leave from Malaga which is around 45 minutes away. There is an all inclusive option but if you don’t chose that, a meal would pay €35 per person You have to pay €3 per day for the in room safe The airport is around an hour away."
