Hotels in Ribe

"A lovely place to stay when visiting Ribe. Easy walk in to town about 8 mins away. Family friendly, in fact kid enthusiastic- a large playground onsite. Car friendly with parking nearby, but for us the 12 minute walk to the train station was scenic and enjoyable. The breakfast consisted of slices of bread, buns, cheeses, individual portioned jams and butter. Along with boxed apple juice. All good, but not very exciting."

"This is a lovely little inn and staying in such a historic building was a great experience. I loved the wonky floors, low ceilings, antique furniture and art. It's also in a great location right on the main square, although this means it can be a little noisy outside. I thought the price was good value for money too. This is not the place to stay if you have any kind of mobility problem or you really care about privacy, though. The stairs are nearly vertical, more like a ladder than a staircase, and pretty challenging to get a suitcase up. Obviously, there's no lift, as it's a medieval building. And there is just one toilet and one shower shared between all guests, with the sink out on the landing, so you do come into a lot of contact with your neighbours at Weis Stue! The walls between the rooms are also very thin, so you can hear even if people are just talking normally. I didn't get a chance to eat in the restaurant downstairs, but it looks lovely. I would definitlely stay here again when I'm in Ribe."

"The rate for Denmark is very good, the room although small was clean and functional. The shower room is a bit like a ship's bathroom, so small but clean."

"Very charming hotel. Only issue was no elevator. Tough to bring my suitcase up the narrow stairs. Other than that, well appointed and decorated. Good customer service and great location. "

"I chose the hotel for two reasons - because of its architecture/design and because of the position close to Esbjerg parkrun for Saturday morning! It delivered on both. We absolutely loved everything about the hotel. We were on the 14th floor and had a great view over the parkland and stadium to the back. The room was great, and every room having a balcony is brilliant. The room design was brilliant. We walked to parkrun on Saturday morning and then because they don’t have a cafe nearby we went back to the hotel for a buffet breakfast which was excellent and is served up to 10.30. We arrived at about ten past ten but weren’t rushed in any way but in fact encouraged to try things from the brunch buffet which was coming out (including bubbles - sadly we were driving so couldn’t avail of that!). A really great stay and we would definitely stay again if in Esbjerg. "

"Characteristic old hotel in the very old town of Ribe. It felt like we went back in time. The shared bathroom for 3 rooms worked fine. Loved the slanted floors. Owner is friendly and fun. The breakfast was good and filling. We loved the whole experience. Free car parking outside the old town was great. "
