He gave me ideas about the areas, booked me a chocolate massage, recommended Filandia for a day trip and recommended El Robles restaurant ( 5 min walk from the hotel - food was fresh and outstanding and prices very reasonable ). He was always smiling and ready to help. Same with the other young guy at reception ( I forgot his name). The view of the valley and the mountains from this hotel...

The Hacienda itself has a great tour called journey of coffee that shows how an ecological coffee farm is organized and ran. It takes about 3 hours. We enjoyed every minute of it. I wasn’t happy with the keeper and front-desk staff asking for money upon arrival for “taxes” and also refused to provide a receipt for the payment when we had cancelled the total amount already.
Also breakfast is supposed to be available from seven but he insisted it was from 7:30 which didn’t suit our plans to catch our flight on time. Then he said he could do an “exception” and would call us at 7 am when breakfast was ready but failed to do so until we went...

As a nature lover, the gardens were great for a wander around in the mornings - acorn woodpeckers, hummingbirds and many other species to be found. Would have loved to be able to stay longer! Highly recommend."
