The main problem was getting in: although a pleasant reception exists, when we arrived, no-one was there just a message on the door with spanish phone numbeerst to call, but without the international code. We were rescued by a fellow guest who was able to call the number and get instructions, but it was pretty frustrating. After that all was well."

"Wonderful traditional hotel in a stunning part of the Picos de Europa. Getting there is an event in itself; after you've passed through magnificent scenery, you're faced with a winding road to the top of the mountain, passing through two tunnels.
Once there, you're on the edge of a charming village, and although the hosts speak little English, we both got by with the help of Google Translate! The hosts do everything they can to make you feel welcome and at the heart of a traditional Spanish home.
Excellent walking from the hotel, stunning views and amazing home-cooked local food. Delicious breakfasts and evening meals – make sure you experience the restaurant.

We didn't have breakfast in the cafe below as we had food to use before getting the boat home but we were asked. Very quiet in the winter months. Would stay again. "
