"The hotel and facilities are spread over a little hamlet in the hillside. Our rooms were in a lovely old house down the road from the lobby. The classic marble staircase and incredibly high ceilings gave an air of elegance to the rooms.
The bathrooms were completely modernized and tastefully done. The rooms were furnished with period pieces that had less functionality than I would have hoped but they were beautiful to look at.
The pool area was well equipped with good sunbeds and umbrellas....

Only downside is that the air-condition didn’t work in our room, it made the room warmer instead of cooler, which made for some rough nights. The room ended up warmer than the outside Italian summer weather "

The spa was amazing for a moment to wind down and relax, and drinks by the pool were lovely. The whole space of the hotel was a wonderful escape into a peaceful vacation with great food, wine, and relaxation. "

Reaxing and calm atmosphere. We had a 5-year old with us, and we felt very welcome by the staff (her own bed and a bath robe), but some of the other guests was maybe not so impressed by people bringing children, so maybe not a place to bring a bunch of noisy children.
