"Thanks to Villam, Sanjaya and the team.
This is a great little sanctuary nestled just off the main road as you head into town from Kandy.
Clear directions provided prior to arrival, quick check-in and warm welcome provided. The 2 story villa is cosy and comfortable with all necessary amenities provided including coffee machine, microwave, fridge, usb speaker, sofa, dining table, crockery and cutlery.
The bathroom has a wow factor and the beds were super comfortable. We stayed as a family of 4 and definitely big enough for us.
Last of all, what a spread for the breakfast delivered in the morning (photo provided)! Highly recommend Luxe Wilderness. 🙌
P.S. if you have a driver, they can help out with cheap accommodation close by. "
Araliya Red - Budget friendly Hotel- Where you find stunning 360 panoramic view of Nuwara Eliya
10/10 Excellent
"It was a wonderful experience to stay with Arliya Red. Staff, food, and hotel were amazing. The price was reasonable with spacious rooms. 8th floor has a 360 view observation deck."
"Excellent property, old world charm, over hundred year old hotel meticulously kept. Food was great at the Magnolia restaurant. The management and staff were great and made our stay comfortable. "
"A beautiful property nestled in the jungle. The views were amazing and the sounds of the rushing river were super relaxing. The rooms were big and airy. There is no air conditioning but some ceiling fans that do the job perfectly (we were never too hot at night) - the pool with the river view in room 10 was spectacular. We enjoyed the food and the service was really nice and kind. Ashley is a character and brings some personality to the table. It’s very isolated but it’s possible to get a Tuktuk to tea plantations (1h) or hike down to a waterfall close by. A beautiful stay! Thanks "
"Fabulous eco-retreat in the rural wilderness of Sri Lanka. Loved the feel and vibe of this resort. Everyone was super friendly and we came away very relaxed after a two night stay. Unlike anywhere wise we visited on our two week trip. Recommended "
"This is a wonderful, welcoming hotel. Special thanks to the staff - Benedict and Laxmi - and manger Duminda, who immediately made me feel at home. The rooms are spacious, clean, and exude a rustic, lived in charm. I will gladly return on future visits! "
"we had a lovely time in Galway Heights. We really liked the location in a small rural road close to a hindu temple and small village and in the tea plantations. Breakfast was very nice, and the staff very attentive. The only grievance was the lack of elevator. We would definitely recommend this."
"We only ended up staying 1 night here due to last minute changes in travel plans but our stay was lovely. It's in a peaceful area of Nuwara Eliya and just a short ride into the main part of the town. Vinsan was a great host. He was very helpful and even prepared our 15 month old little boy his own special breakfast (without us mentioning it or asking) and our breakfast was ery nice. He dropped us off in his Tuk Tuk to the station at Nanu Oya in perfect time to catch our train. Would recommend. Thanks for a lovely (if only short) stay."
"The Cheriz Boutique is beautiful. It is very peaceful and relaxing. The view of the tea plantation was just stunning. This is a great place for a couple's retreat - peaceful and romantic. The staff were very nice and the a la carte menu was great. It is an ideal hotel to escape to and relax. "
"It was a cute vintage bunglow with 3 rooms. I really enjoyed the antique set up. The shower and furniture were so cute and antique. Customer services was amazing. Highly recommended!"
"We stayed at the Villa Tea Fields for one night during our visit to Nuwara Eliya. The room was clean/combortable, bathroom was newly renovated/modern. Staff were very attentive and courteous. Breakfast was excellent. The balcony was a great place to relax, read a book, take in the view of the garden - very pleasant experience. We highly recommend the Villa Tea Fields if you're visiting Nuwara Eliya. "
"AWESOME EXPERIENCE. Everyone - front office, housekeeping, F&B, & the spa - were exceptional with services par excellence. Rishnati qt front desk was OUTSTANDING, along with Nadan. Buffet breakfast and dinner were superb. Very scenic location - interiors are very beautiful. Highly recommended!"
"This was our first stop in Sri Lanka for one night only and after a nightmare journey with flight cancellations, the staff very kindly allowed us to check in at 5am, which we greatly appreciated. The phone number for the hotel was wrong on Expedia so we struggled to get in touch with them to let them know about our late arrival however our driver was able to contact them for us - so just make sure you’ve got the right contact details in case you need them! The hotel is lovely and we were sad not to have been able to enjoy it for longer!"
"We have been in Sri Lanka for over a week now and this hotel has been the best one we’ve stayed at. It is a bit of a walk from the city but can always get a very cheap tuk tuk. Extremely clean and very good breakfast. 10/10"
"Myself & my partner stayed here for 2 nights. Unfortunately the photos on the website do not represent the actual rooms that you get. For some reason, the lovely tiled floors in the photos have since been replaced with a dark red, dirty carpet which instantly makes the room feel unclean. The shower head did not prop up. On arrival the toilet seat had dried up urine all over it. The red carpet had dead flies & many black hairs on it. There was often a very strange loud mystery noise that vibrated our room on an evening, it almost sounded like a helicopter kept landing on the roof (which obviously wasn’t the case.) I appreciate white walls are hard to keep clean but the walls were very dirty with a large amount of mould, as shown in the photos. We were looking forward to this hotel due to the reviews and the photos but we were unfortunately very disappointed. On a positive note, the one staff member in the hotel was very accommodating and very kind."
