Restaurants are plenty and very near. However some of the paths to the seafront I found challenging. "

"A beautiful place. It was clean and quiet with an excellent pool. Rooms were well equipped and very well maintained. Staff were excellent, welcoming and helpful.
It is a 40 walk from Skala but there is an excellent and cheap hotel shuttle and the walk itself was lovely."

"Great Skala hotel. Nice beach area with loungers that require a fee but are serviced by hotel staff with access to a full bar and menu. Quality of drinks and food including breakfast were perfectly adequate but not the best to be found in the area. But staff, location, & ambiance were all excellent. Room was nice with a comfortable bed, subtle decor, and a lovely porch area that we left alone so the birds (house martins) could feed their babies. Great pool and bar area for relaxing."

"Our transfer was waiting for us so our holiday started good. The hotel is on the corner of the mall/agora which proved handy when shopping or eating, that the walk home was quick. It’s accessible to the port where a promenade walk is nice. The local bus service is good taking you to all local beaches which are Platis Gialos (cheaper) and Makris Gialos. "A stunning villa in a very quiet location around a mile from the centre of Sami. The swimming pool and huge garden were very private and had plenty of loungers and garden furnitue including a bbq. The villa had the best equipped kitchen we have ever come across and the owners and staff were always on hand and most welcoming. We could not have asked for more. "

Our host, Nikos, was really welcoming giving us local recommendations, showing us around the villa and gave us 24hr contact info. We even got a gift of local wines and delicacies as a birthday treat. "Absolutely not what we expected! It is as a cheap quick last minute and I would return over and over! It was wonderful! Clean and friendly I did see reviews saying home from home and they were correct. The views are out of this world. Athena the manager makes your stay that extra special. Go on bbq night u won’t regret it! "

"The hospitality by far was the best. From the minute we arrived the host welcomed us and went out of his way to help us. Such as where to rent a car, where to go and ect. Went above and beyond to make sure our stay was an good experience. We are so grateful and would definitely come back again to this hotel. Clean and room service is on deck.

"We have just finished our 3rd visit to St John’s villas. Always requested & stayed in the 3 bedroom orchid villa.
Excellent bedroom sizes, 3 bathrooms (2ensuite) amazing pool area.
Daily minimal housekeeping, change towels, remove rubbish & make beds etc.
Had an issue with the main en-suite bathroom as they have removed the Bath & replaced with a huge shower. Unfortunately the shower didn’t drain away at all and had to visit reception 3 times.
Visiting again at the end of October so...
