"Such a cute little property. We stayed for one night as a travelling group of three females. We stayed in a room made up for three and it was so cosy and well presented. Staff were really friendly and super happy to have us there. Would recommend particularly for the cable car to Oeschien which is literally across the road! Excellent, thankyou! "
"Historic wooden hotel that's on UNESCO list. I loved seeing how people lived, even though it meant going to third floor on an old wooden staircase. The rooms are so interesting, with a side room with a third bed reachable by a secret staircase. The food cooked at the restaurant was so good, traditional Swiss food. Very friendly staff, dressed in traditional folklore dresses."
"We arrived early and they were really accommodating to get our room ready. Room was spacious and clean. Would have liked a fridge but being really picky. Only 5 minutes walk from the train station. Breakfast was nice and offered choice. Staff were friendly asking for directions.
Free laundry which was an added bonus! The rooftop terrace was nice but couldn't enjoy due to the weather (raining)"
"The Stay was amazing. The location and view from the resort was spectacular. The amenities were good for kids. The check-in instructions were smooth and detailed as we arrive late at night. "
"Absolute 5 star experience. The staff are so accommodating and the the view from the pool is next to none.
Best hotel I've stayed at. The customer hospitality is in matched.
Need a car for a day? They let you borrow there mini cooper, great way to explore the rest of Switzerland at your own pace"
"Hotel is extremely nice and best to stay
OLD looks hotel but
OLD IS GOLD
just need to add some breakfast
I know 🇨🇭 is very expensive but should think
Otherwise all good and fantastic"
"The views are really awesome. Its at the extreme edge of the town high up in the hills. The property is very well kept. I didnt really care for the rollaway bed but probably because it looked like it needed some cleaning.
I arrived late. The check inninstructions were unambiguos. The checkout staff was very courteous.
We could have spent another day but it was sold out!!
If you plan to stay here... ensure to bringnyour groceries along with you... did i say its at the extreme end of the town/village?"
"great friendly staff. very clean rooms with nice view. walkable to shops, cafes and restaurants. many choices on breakfast.
only one comment that they mentioned that there is an air conditioning on rooms. but there was not. but they provided Electric fan"
"Worst hotel experience in decades of travel. Not as depicted in the description. Parking was a huge mess, had to park across town, dragging luggage a half mile on heavy hills to the hotel and upstairs. If elderly or with any mobility issues whatsoever, this would not have been possible.
Not able to get in to eat, restaurant staff was overwhelmed and not helpful. Very, very basic hotel. The icing on top was the morning of checkout, there was no secure place to keep luggage while trekking back to the car, so that was a concern, and they gave me the wrong validation ticket. So, after the long walk and stressing about my luggage, I had difficulty even getting my car. Oh, and they’ll be beating on the door every 15 minutes from 0900 until you leave, although checkout is 1030. This is a hotel which should cater to the spa/relaxation crowd, but I left here much more stressed than I arrived.
Switzerland is amazing and every other property I stayed at received 5 stars, but I’d steer clear from this one if you’re hoping for a peaceful vacation stay. "
