"Our stay at Giacomo Morra was ideal. Located around the corner from the train station, we easily settled in to our memorable stay in Alba. The staff was exceptional, offering recommendations suited to our interests and making reservations for us at the outstanding restaurants walking distance from the hotel. Our room had a simplistic elegance and a very comfortable bed. The breakfast offered a full array of delicious options to prepare us for our adventures in the area. Our only regret was not planning to stay longer! "

"This place is one of a kind. The staff, the space, the rooms, the food, the services…everything deserves 5 stars. My wife and I have been fortunate to stay in so many amazing places but Nordelaia ranks at the top. As we reflect on the moments we realize that what we experienced was pure relaxation, held elegantly with care and nurtured with the most wonderful food and beverage. "This hotel has no idea about hospitality. The first thing we have heard when we arrived after transatlantic flight and a long night drive was:" you didn't park at the right place it's a place for stuff. We have a party so the parking lot is busy". No help was offered with luggage. Not even the idea if they could get the car keys and park the car themselves as they do in the decent hotel. So we had to drag the suitcases through the gravel parking lot. No luggage racks in the room. So you have to put your luggage on the floor and be on your knees while unpacking and taking your stuff out. Seems like epitome of eco-friendly. Nobody on the reception after 9:00 p.m. so if you need something go help yourself . No fridge in the room. If you want to chill your wine or store the cheese in this cheese and wine country go help yourself. By the way there is no phone in the room so if you want to call reception there is no way to call no matter what you need toothbrush or help. No wine glasses in the room. When ask for 2x glasses, we were told we will be charged 5 euro per glass! 10 euro for 2 empty glasses! Yeah, hospitality! Have been traveling throughout Europe, never had been asked to pay for empty glasses! New level of "f** you" by these guys! At 23.36 party music is coming through the window. Our room is on the opposite side of the building from the restaurant, so music is, probably, very loud. I can hardly imagine what other guests are experiencing. "

"Our host, Christina, was fabulous. Very helpful, energetic and obliging of any request. Wifi was ok, but slow sometimes. Surroundings absolutely beautiful. Wine from the vineyard was very good. Lovely rooms. We enjoyed driving through the picture postcard scenery of this region."

La terrazza, ampia e potenzialmente molto piacevole, purtroppo risulta trascurata e abbandonata. Lo staff è stato sempre accogliente e cortese. La colazione è davvero ottima: varia, abbondante e con opzioni anche senza glutine. Il rapporto qualità-prezzo è eccellente. L’unica vera nota negativa riguarda la pulizia: molta polvere in camera e nessun intervento di pulizia durante il soggiorno. Lo consiglio. "
