"Upon booking, the hotel called me to tell me the room I booked is not available. They offered me a room with 2 doubles instead of the 1 king I booked. As it was the same day I’m staying, it seemed like too much hassle to go through the cancelation process with hotels.com.
The front desk ladies are very friendly and made the issues less bothersome. There is insufficient parking in the small lot so I had to park in street parking. My room is very noisy - airplanes, cars.

of four. We had a three bedroom that gave everyone plenty of room to stretch out and relax after a long day of traveling before getting into Vancouver late, and heading out the next morning to get on an Alaska cruise. 5 minute Uber drive to Walmart to get some last minutes before our cruise, as well as a fully stocked kitchen to make a healthy breakfast before grabbing a ride to our cruise. Highly recommend."

"We will return to the Sylvia Hotel. Its proximity to all things Vancouver is unparalleled. Close to Stanley Park for walking, running, cycling, swimming, and the beaches. Close to Granville Island and downtown. Yet, it's quiet and tucked away from city traffic noise. What will wake you are the crows and seagulls and fresh sea air. "

for 2 nights in a twin toom with two double beds and a balcony. The location was ok, a 30 minute drive or an hour on public transport to stanley park. The bedroom area itself looked like it had been recently refurbished and was clean and comfortable, although the entrance area and bathroom whilst being perfectly adequate looked like they were due the same refurb. The main issues were firstly the balcony. We had specifically booked the room with a balcony so we could use the...
