"Really enjoyed this stay, great to stay in such a rural area. Gardens are amazing, accomodation if basic but everything that we needed. Having some bar meals and drinks on site was very helpful.

"Checking in could be better. We stayed for 2 nights to celebrate our anniversary. Was offered a small discount to upgrade room and that was it . Spa facilities was the best in this hotel 10/10.

"Recently under new management so has some minor teething challenges. The current interim manager was excellent but only temporary. If the full time one is half as good the hotel should be a success as it is quiet and charming. Note however the rooms are not for those with mobility issues (and frankly room 1 has so many tiny stairs it isn't for anyone!) We had room 5 which was fine (and is probably the one in the photo) We only had snacky things to eat but restaurant looked popular. Slightly off...
