"We stayed in the rooms that were like regular hotel rooms. The views were beautiful from both the balcony and the front door. I was not aware that the lodge has newer rooms that are fabulously beautiful and actually quite luxurious. I saw them on the day we left and wish we had stayed in those. They cost more, of course, but I would have enjoyed those rooms and their extra-special location. The service was excellent and friendly. I recommend heartily. "

The uniqueness. The noises you can hear through the walls. (I need noise to fall asleep and I was there over Timket celebration)
I call this luxury. Wifi. A bed (with shiny bedding). A shower and running water. Friendly staff. A TV that I never used. (Like who needs television when life itself is entertaining enough). Transfer currency to Birr, as that is the only currency accepted. It states Complimentary water and transportation....

"It has a great view of Lalibela from the bar, the restaurant, and the patio. It seems the property has not kept up probably due to the downtown of tourism and economy. My room had only one working table lamp so I ate my dinner in the dark. The staff were helpful and friendly. It was an average stay overall. "
