"Everything is perfect, every staff member is wonderful! We spent two nights with deep impressions. Clean and spacious room conditions, private hot tubs staring stars every night, delicious food, fabulous wines, and etc. One of the wonderful hotels in NZ!"

"Cardona Hotel is a GEM!
This is our second time staying here. We've stayed in a lot of great places all over NZ, but Cardrona Hotel is by far our favorite. They've done such an amazing job with the restoration, keeping it feeling like an old mining hotel/pub, but still very upscale. The rooms have all new amenities but still look like they could be original.
The bar, restaurant and outside areas are where the hotel really shines.

"I must admit that when my husband said "ecolodge" and "composting toilets" I was a little wary. From arrival we were blown away by the beauty of the property and friendliness of the staff. We were so impressed that we weren't even unpacked and we were discussing extending our stay. We dropped one of our planned stops on our trip to NZ just to stay here longer.
