"First of all it is clear that this hotel is far from 5 stars. While the rooms (in fact cottages) are not bad (4/5 for me) and the hotel staff is very friendly (5/5 for me) the breakfast choice was dissatisfying (3/5 for me). The offer of fruit juices was limited to 2, while one always was watermelon and the other changed between mango and pineapple. The overall selection (fresh eggs, other English breakfast items) was o.k., but the offered variety was far from other 5 Star hotels I ever visited....

"The staff were absolutely delightful and brilliant. Corazone Ndeya, Brian Angila and Hakim Mukungu were so warm, friendly, patient and informative. The food served was also fantastic with the chef's preparation of prawns, fish and chicken were absolutely delicious. I look forward to coming back next year. "

The only downside was the very limited menu (and quite high prices for the portion/quality) at Lion in the Sun. On top of that, all vegetarian options were not available one day, with no alternative offered - which was a little disappointing, especially as nearby places (Art and Nature - highly recommend!) were able to modify dishes and cater for dietary requirements on request."
