It looks run down and gang-infested. To some, it may loos scary, but it honestly was safe, walkable, and very homey. People were friendly, or they minded their own. Dont let appearances fool you. The markets were a bit expensive if you ask me.

Every time I visit I find nice restaurants that have authentic food and very kind and friendly staff and owners. It's not what most people hear about the area. But I am pleasantly surprised every time I visit.

It was my first experience in the Bronx. Not that I didn't feel safe but I wouldn't have walked at night. Otherwise, there was lots of trashs in the streets and it smelled weed everywhere.

Les alentours paraissent pas safe, mais il faut s'ouvrir un peu aux autres, et on voit bien que personne ne nous veut de mal.
