Learn more about Washington Depot

The region around Washington Depot is home to attractions such as Mount Tom State Park and Steep Rock Preserve.

Hidden Valley Preserve was a nice surprise. Only been there a couple times but found it had a lot to offer-lots of critters (frogs, fish, snakes, turtles, birds), a suspension bridge over the brook, easy to more challenging trails. The best part was the old quartz mine, that was in use from 1800-1915. The trail becomes a sparkling white, a mix of fairytale and snow storm.
