"Stayed at Hotel Chesa Valese for 5 nights recently and overall had a very good experience. There was a mix-up with the pickup time at first, but the staff were great and made up for it, so no complaints there. We ended up with what seemed like a bigger, more spacious room with loads of storage, and even a partial view of the Matterhorn tip, which was a nice surprise. Only issue in the room was with the plug sockets. All of them were Swiss three-pin. I brought standard EU two-pin plugs which usually work fine (they worked on the train), but for some reason they didn’t fit here. Reception gave us two adapters straight away, which was really helpful. Breakfast officially starts at 7:30am, which felt a bit late, but they let us eat at 7am one morning when we had to leave early. That flexibility was appreciated. The spa and sauna were excellent and definitely one of the highlights. The staff were always very helpful throughout our stay, which really made a difference. Only real downside was the WiFi. It wouldn’t work with a VPN, which was frustrating since I prefer not to use open networks. Luckily I had a data SIM so I managed, but it’s something to be aware of."

"We had a great stay here! We were pleasantly surprised by how spacious our room was and the large bathtub. It was nice to have an elevator in such a small hotel. We had a very early departure the next day before breakfast opened, and the staff kindly provided a sack meal. The hotel is close enough to the main strip and train station, but in a quieter area."

"We arrived early and they were really accommodating to get our room ready. Room was spacious and clean. Would have liked a fridge but being really picky. Only 5 minutes walk from the train station. Breakfast was nice and offered choice. Staff were friendly asking for directions. Free laundry which was an added bonus! The rooftop terrace was nice but couldn't enjoy due to the weather (raining)"

"It was great staying at Beausite! The location was slightly further away from the main town area, but it had great views of the Matterhorn. The heated pool and hay sauna was the best to relax after a day of hiking. The room was spacious and toilet felt luxurious."

"Good location and the best breakfast I am having in Switzerland. You can take photos of Matterhorn mountain easily from the room if you book the room with view. The only disappointed thing is that my room view of mountain is actually blocked by some of the houses and cannot see the full view from the room which is unexpected. And be aware that you have to prepare some CHF cash as it is the only hotel that request me to pay city taxes by cash (all can be paid by credit card in other hotels)."

"Such a charming hotel and so close to the train station, shops, and restaurants. The staff took great care in setting up our room. We had a view of the Matterhorn and surrounding area. The rooms are very clean, have all what you need, even a tote and backpack to use! Staff is awesome! Will definitely stay here again!"

"One of cleanest hotels ever! Nicest host. Treats every guest with respect regardless of nationality or ethnicity. Friendly, but not intrusive. Every request for an iron or ice was handled ASAP. Tim, Marie?& Ruth were great. Best location. Loved the serenity & peace that seemed to attract quiet like-minded couples such as us. Buffet was small but, good & made to order omelette/eggs. Fruit available all day. Nice views even in rear rooms ( loved watching locals tend to their vegetable garden & mountain view) "

"I usually find faults in hotels but this hotel has tremendous value and is clean. We enjoyed the indoor saltwater pool and the convenience from the train station. Breakfast had solid mix of western comforts and more traditional local fare. Enjoyed so much we actually extended the stay by a day. "

"We had a room at the front of the building and it was AMAZING!! Yes, we had to lug a suitcase each up the narrow stairs, but once up there and the view is seen, all is forgiven!! I made my family sleep with the doors open for the fresh air, and so I could hear the music and sounds of town as I drifted off to sleep. Then waking up to the sun rising over the mountains, birds chirping.... It was perfect!! Breakfast was the cherry on top!! Besides the very easy walk from the station, hehe! Definitely recommend this place if you have the physical ability to carry suitcases up stairs :)"
