"Esta ubicado a una distancia prudente de la ciudad de Huaraz lo que permite tener los servicios de la ciudad pero sin el bullicio ni desorden, los departamentos están rodeados de bosques de eucaliptos, al lado del río y frente a los nevados, el solo ingresar al departamento te llena de paz y tranquilidad. Otro punto importante son las atenciones y recomendaciones de los dueños quienes nos hicieron sentir cómodos y seguros."

"Owners and staff makes you feel like at home, very attentive. Access is a little hard due to the road and not all drivers are familiar with the hotel, however the view is priceless"

"Local family-owned hotel. We were received by Hugo, one of the owners, who was friendly and helpful. He personally took care of our experience, making sure we were well served by the drivers he recommended. Hotel is conveniently located in a nice and safe town near the airport and with easy access to tourist attractions."

"We loved staying here! We even extended our stay by 4 extra days/ Staff has been amazing and super helpful and friendly. Breakfast is good. There is a common kitchen that could be better equipped, but it worked ok for us to cook some meals.
Rooms are tidy and comfortable. I would definitely come back! "

"Loved the view of the mountains from the hostel, secured wifi, hot shower, socket points availability next to the beds, and the staff- despite speaking very little English, try their best to help you with your queries. The hostel also has water for sale at the reception which was great. However, there are also two mini stores next to it where you can get some dry food and water.
Furthermore, the staff graciously allowed us to check in early when we arrived three hours earlier than the checkin...

"The place is big and comfortable, the shower is perfect - hot with good pressure. Breakfast is good - eggs, bread and jam, coca tea, coffee and juice. The staff are great and knowledgeable about tours and can arrange them for you . The only negative is that there are many neighbourhood dogs which are so noisy barking all night that I couldn't sleep well. Bring earplugs. The hotel is highly recommended."

"Second time I've stayed here, second time I've loved it. Friendly, helpful staff; nice rooms; relatively quiet: good restaurant and easy walk to several more. It has consistent hot water and is very clean and well-maintained. Stairs required from street to lobby. Elevator available once there. "

Hotel Golden Killa
10/10 Excellent
"Our host was an absolute angel. We had a tour company for a trek not pick us up and the host went out of her way to get ahold of them and help us to find another trek to go on. She was so sweet and worked so hard. The hostel was so clean, had a balcony, food options and truly I would visit again just because of our host. We will forever remember Hostel Golden Killa "
"Excellent and super kind staff with genuine desires to help! A group of us stayed here for many days and all had a great time.
A restaurant in the hotel opens at 7 AM and closes at 10 PM serves very nice foods.
Areas within 1.5 miles radius are full of excitements with all kinds of street vendors, all within walking distances.
This hotel is very close to the city center, where courts, local police, national police and first responders are located. So, naturally, it is safe area to be. High mountain peaks are all viewable and hiking trails can lead to the local hill top that is approximately 11,000 feet above sea level, roughly 2 miles of walking. Once you’re on the top, you can see the whole Huaraz city."
"The property was very clean and well-maintained. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The area where the hotel is located is not in the center of town, but is a short walk to many shops and restaurants. The staff to fulfill our requests. They helped us find a tour operator, which was fabulous!
The only downside was that there was no heat in the rooms or the bathroom. It gets chilly at night at that elevation. It would have been nice to have some heat in the bathroom so you don't get too cold getting out of the shower. "

"Unfortunately they couldn't honour our full booking due to the person in charge having an emergency but let us stay the first night as it was late in the evening. The price was different to what was booked on hotels.com and there wasn't the stated free breakfast. Maybe this was because the person in charge wasn't there.
It was very cold due to the building not being fully enclosed. I can't comment on the trips etc which was the main reason we had booked here due to the good reviews."
"I would stay here again. Had hot showers, near shopping center and local restaurants. The rooms were equipped with the essential things we would need for our stay. "
"The Abuelo is a jewel of a hotel in the Callejón! Modern, clean and an amazing proprietor. All are helpful and eager to please. Located in the middle of Carhuaz, they can quickly get you the best guides and transport. The cook is fantastic; it thus is the best restaurant in town and one of the best in the Callejón. We travel a lot, are very fluent in Spanish and would rank it among the nicest rural hotels in Latin America!"
