"We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The attention of the staff is outstanding since the very first day they make us feel welcome and very comfortable. I loved the breakfast at the hotel restaurant, every morning they had guitar duo singing boleros and traditional mexican songs. The food was delicious and on weekends they have a very complete mexican food buffet. My kids loved the large pool. The property had some events for the Guelaguetza which were really nice. The location is great, two blocks away from Santo Domingo plaza and walkable distance to restaurants, art gallerias, local markets, coffee shops, main square and main streets. Great hotel."

"We stayed at Hotel Azul for nine nights and absolutely loved it. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful from start to finish. The hotel itself is beautiful—tastefully designed with a peaceful courtyard and charming details throughout. The location is just about perfect. It’s a quick five-minute walk to the Zócalo, so everything is easily accessible, but it’s also tucked away on a quieter street. Even during Guelaguetza, we had no trouble getting a good night’s sleep. The included breakfast was very good—fresh, well-prepared, and a nice option to have. That said, we didn’t take advantage of it as often as we could have, mostly because we were eager to explore the incredible food scene in Oaxaca. All in all, Hotel Azul was the perfect base camp for exploring one of the most interesting and vibrant cities I’ve ever visited. We’d absolutely stay here again."
