I normally like quaint old hotels but this was just down at heel and dispiriting. The photographer must be very clever as the reality was dismal. The sauna was an extra 55 Euros so we didnt use it and didn't eat there as the stale smell was so unappetising. We would not have stayed except that we had booked and paid in advance."

"This B & B is run by Ryan and his mother from Derbyshire in England. Itâs a very beautiful and peaceful place to stay. They are very helpful and very nice with nothing too much of a problem. Very knowledgable of the local area and full of ideas and information of places to visit and things to do. The accommodation itself is very clean and looked after. A continental breakfast is provided each morning. I would highly recommend staying here. "

"The staff were lovely but the condition of the 1st floor was horrible. It smelled of urine & cigarettes. The room looked clean but the smell was horrible & the door had no safety locks. I slept in my clothes & changed to shower & add fresh clothes before leaving. My 13 year old grandson asked if it was a hostel. I paid for 2 nights but we did not return & got a room in another place. "
"Our stay was perfect for an overnight during further travel. We had a friendly greeting with information of where to eat. The room was clean and comfortable and a more than adequate breakfast. We were lucky to have a parking space on site but there are not really enough spaces for the number of rooms. "

"We had the best experience at the Cabane dans les arbres. Our car broke down when we were 20km from arriving and the hosts came to pick us up, even though it was very late. They supported us (the parents) with food and moral support the next day while we were on the phone with the rental car company. Meanwhile, the kids had the best day of their lives swimming and on the property's zipline. The tree house itself was cozy, with a copious breakfast (as described by others) and everything was perfect."

"I imagine its just the age of the hotel showing and not so much the upkeep. We reserved this after showing up to 5 Themes and it being a room in the owners house. We werenât comfortable staying there so we stayed here. It was the right decision. Definitely not a bad place and I wonât talk bad about it but I do think they could change a few things. That is all"
"We booked a room on our way there and when arrived the lady told us sheâs full⊠no rooms available. We already paid for it and tried to explain to her but she spoke no English and basically kept yelling she has no rooms (as if thatâs our fault). It was already 9pm and she made us wait for about half an hour until we finally got some cash back from her⊠not even all of it because she said she has to pay tax ⊠Unbelievable. No apologies from her. Nothing. Just attitude. There were no other hotels available in the nearby town either and we were left without a place to stay, at night. Eventually we found something in Le Mans. Itâs a shame because that place looked really nice and we were hoping to have a relaxed time in the country. Instead, we got to Le Mans around midnight and stayed by the train station. The worse part of it was the ladyâs attitude towards us and no âsorryâ or anything. She treated us like we did something wrong and how did we even dare come to her âfullâ house. "
