"Fantastic staff. Very nice and helpful. We spoke Italian but they are fluent in English as well. Very accommodating and plenty of suggestions if needed. Didn't get to use spa but nice breakfast each morning , good espresso and you can walk to virtually anywhere in town. Close to boat rentals as well. Will be back when we visit Rapallo again"

"We loved the Palazzo Grillo. Yes, it is a registered UNESCO World Heritage site and a wonderfully restored hotel that seamlessly blends a palazzo built in 1545 with 21st-century conveniences. A superb breakfast on the top floor, a beautiful relaxation library on the second floor, and nicely placed in the old quarter of Genova, at the Piazza delle Vigne. Palazzo Grillo is located in the pedestrian zone of the town center, making access by car impossible. We enjoy walking, so the 5-minute walk with our luggage from the closest parking garage (Marina Porto Antico) to the town center was no problem. Be sure to follow the directions from the hotel. Certain taxis can take you close to the hotel, resulting in a shorter walk. The labyrinth of alleys in the old part of town is worth your trip--a cultural wonder. Expect excellent service from the staff. "

"Great location of the hotel, 5 min walk to piazza de ferrari and lots of shopping. We parked our car in a parking lot also 5 min away walking. The hotel is on the fifth floor with a check in on the 2nd floor. We used gps, and had no issues finding it, though the sign on the building has a different name for the hotel but once you come to the door you can see that you're in a right place. The room was spacious and clean and well air conditioned. Would stay again. "

"Parking was tough but property is not far up a side street connected to the port main road, so we could park at the aquarium public parking and it was very short walk. Very glad we stayed at this hotel vs others in Genoa downtown once we had walked the city some. This property is in one of the better / cleaner / safer feeling zones. The police station is literally next door so you get to see them pass by on patrol regularly. The pizza place directly across the street had excellent pizza as well."

"The rooms were wonderful. The staff was quite nice and made us feel welcome. The hotel itself felt safe. It was a bit tricky to drive to get in, as we passed it and that leads into the airport. A nice man helped us back up the one way to be in front of the hotel. There is a gate you need to take a ticket from to park in front of the lobby to do your check in, which was rather odd to us. It has nice underground parking. After that, all went well. "

"We drove in from the Genoa airport and needed to make sure the hotel offered parking. The staff was incredibly helpful, accommodating, and communicative. It was easy to find and even though we arrived before check in they had space that allowed us to freshen up and store our luggage so that we could keep to our schedule as we were in town only for one night and had a lot to squeeze in. The room was HUGE! We traveled with our 2 teenage children so we chose the 2 bedroom 1 bath room and it was perfect. The hotel is a short 15-20 min walk to the Rapallo train station where you can easily purchase an on/off pass for the family to visit Cinque Terre. Breakfast was delicious with so much variety and the ambiance was beyond lovely. I would highly recommend Hotel Canali and will visit again should we ever find ourselves back in that region. "

"Second time staying here and that is for this reason, this place is great, best hotel in the region, a bit off the main drag in a good way, steps from beach, restaurants, grocery store, cafe etc. the staff is amazing the breakfast is actually pretty decent by Italian standards. "I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. It is in the Centro Storica, just steps from the Teatro Felice. However, it is located on a little side street off of via Roma, so it is very quiet and peaceful. The hotel is clean and modern, and the staff was pleasant, professional and very helpful concerning questions about the city."
