"No reception - delays checking in because no one present. Manager expressed she was there to help but was openly hostile when approached for shampoo & conditioner. Never responded to an enquiry about whether there was an iron available (we were in town for a funeral) probably the most run-down place I’ve ever stayed. "This place is a gem! Perhaps our favorite of 6 places along the Queensland coast. Super-quiet, very modern, like a cabin in the woods, on the beach! Steps from a gorgeous long stretch of beach (no one on it in late July), nice plunge pool, good amenities, although not a full kitchen. (Who knew you could microwave salmon?) There is a cart for luggage, 2 minutes’ walk to the property. So private yet 5 minutes from restaurants. We will be thinking of it months from now. "
