"I would like to say that I was very disappointed that you have to buy your own water when dinning. It’s as if they are cashing in on your need to drink water with your meal. Water is an everyday need for survival. I think you really need to look at this as many others talked about this also while I was there as was very disappointed! "

"We only stayed one night in Hotel A'mare but we really enjoyed our stay. It's a 5-10min walk to the old town of Zadar, which is great. The hotel looks super-modern and all freshly renovated. The outdoor patio with some plants is great, you can have dinners or breakfasts there. We had breakfast there and enjoyed the rich buffet and the outdoor seating. Rooms are quiet and the beds are comfy. The staff was very friendly. We could park our car near this square in front of the hotel, it's public parking at no cost. Not sure whether the hotel has any dedicated parking spots in the back. We would definitely stay again at this hotel, highly recommended."

"Very clean hostel. Location is fantastic. Beds are comfortable. Our room had an air condition which was very good in the hot summer. There are many restaurants and bars around. It also has a supermarket less than 1 min far away. The manager, Maria is very friendly and shares all the info you need. "

"3 friends had a 2 night stay, July ‘25. Host Klaudio could not have been more welcoming and hospitable - nothing was too much & he rightly prides myself on making his guests satisfied. Property/building was clean & facilities felt >4 star, as rooms were spacious, modern & super clean, with great balconies extending the leisure opportunities. The pool is also a great size for the property & had clean comfortable lounger chairs & plenty of them. Although most people were out & about so very peaceful and relaxing too. Breakfast was even better than expected, with freshly cooked eggs & a plethora of choices of fruits, proteins, cereals/bread & hot/cold drinks. ‘Great location; a 2km walk into the main town of Zadar or c.€4-5 in a taxi. Would not have chosen to stay anywhere else & will aim to revisit if/when going to Zadar or the Plitvice Lakes areas. "

"Probably our favorite stay during our time in Croatia! A stone's throw away from the beach, and perfect walking distance not only too some great restaurants, but also old town/city center is only 10 minutes maximum! Amazing swimming and beach area in the backyard, along with a couple beach-side bars. We loved it so much, we wound up getting engaged at the imperial fountain just down the beach! Can't recommend this place enough, amazing rooms with spacious bathrooms, great poolbar area and incredible food. Love you Kolovare, see you again soon! <3"

"This hotel was a total surprise. The small town of Obrovac is located in a canyon along a river. The ride to get there was very pretty and the setting of the hotel right on the river was beautiful. The place has obviously been recently renovated and it is all new and clean smelling. The hotel restaurant served excellent dishes (I had a steak and a salad and my husband had seafood risotto) and very good wine. The staff was super friendly. The town is run down but the hotel and their restaurant is a gem."
